One of the most important aspects of document management is the ability to search documents. However,
this is one of the weakest fields of document management. There are a few basic problem with document
searching:
- “Full-text” searching is required for any type of in-depth searching.
- Full-text searches consume a large amount of processing power and disk space.
- A computer needs to “understand” a document before it can truly search it.
- At the end of the day, a full-text search is only a little better than “Find” in MS Word™.
Perhaps worse than the above, a computer cannot understand you. It has no idea where you are going with your
search. It is restricted to 1’s and 0’s (digital), whereas in the real world, people have viewpoints and look at things from
their viewpoints. This is true of document searching where data can be viewed from different angles or perspectives,
depths, resolutions, etc.
Our Document Search Technology in brief
Our technology breaks the digital barrier and enables computers to “assume the viewpoint” of the end user. It
also enables a computer to accurately “understand” a document and series of documents. This is a world-first
advancement in electrical engineering
principles.
The result? Searches based upon subject content, not mere words. For the first time,
documents are “understood by subject” and searches are treated by subject based upon keyword phrases. The technology is so advanced, we can
even get a computer to compare documents and correctly decide how
closely they match in terms of subject matter!
